International. The German automotive chemicals specialist, part of the Würth Group, closed the year with the best results in its history in the production of oils and additives, as well as an 8% growth in sales.
According to the company, about two-thirds of the turnover was generated in international markets, while at the national level there was an even higher than average growth. In recognition of these results, management announced a bonus of up to €7,000 for each of its nearly 1,300 employees worldwide. In operational terms, LIQUI MOLY reached new all-time highs with a production of 119,000 tonnes of oil, 40 million containers of oil and 25 million cans of additives. To sustain this growth rate, the company will expand its production capacity in the Saarlouis centre, with the aim of reaching 160,000 tonnes of oil. "In order to continue to grow, the production capacity at the Saarlouis site is planned to be expanded to 160,000 tonnes of oil. In 2026, the implementation will take place step by step," says Managing Director Dr. Uli Weller.
As part of this reorganization, as of January 1, 2026, Meguin GmbH & Co. KG Mineralölwerke adopted the name LIQUI MOLY Produktions GmbH & Co. KG. "This is just a 100% change of the name of the subsidiary company."
The headquarters in Ulm will also be subject to investments, with the addition of new filling lines, as well as increased levels of automation and digitalization. In addition, the company plans to centralise a large part of the storage of its production in a new logistics centre north of Ulm, the construction of which is scheduled to start in 2026. "The largest construction project in the company's history will greatly improve our logistics processes. It is the key to greater competitiveness, increased customer satisfaction and an essential component of our growth strategy," summarises Managing Director Günter Hiermaier.
Internationalization continues to be another key focus of LIQUI MOLY's growth plan. During 2025, the company plans to create new companies in China, Switzerland and Turkey, markets in which it has already had a presence for years. "This year we are going to found foreign companies in China, Switzerland and Turkey. We have been active in these countries for many years, but we want to better penetrate the markets and take better advantage of the existing potential," says Salvatore Coniglio.
