The call for the CALA Awards 2026 is open, which recognizes the best mechanical workshops in the region

The organization of the CALA Awards™ announced the official opening of the call for the 2026 edition, aimed at mechanic shops in Latin America, the Caribbean and South Florida that stand out for their efficiency, operational excellence, presentation, marketing strategies and commitment to training.

The awards, considered one of the most relevant recognitions in the sector, seek to make outstanding practices visible and promote higher standards within the automotive industry. According to the organizers, participating strengthens the reputation of the workshops and projects them to a specialized audience made up of leaders, suppliers and key actors in the sector.

"The CALA Awards are a platform designed to recognize the real effort of workshops that transform the industry from excellence, innovation and commitment to service. Each story submitted is a testament to the talent driving the automotive sector throughout the region," the organization said.

Key dates

  • Applications close: January 10, 2026
  • Voting Closes and Virtual Ceremony: March 20, 2026
  • The recognition ceremony will be held during the AutoAmericas Show, which will take place on March 20 and 21, 2026 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel, Amber Room.

Evaluation criteria

The workshops must present their history, progress, operational processes and achievements. The jury will take into account aspects such as:

  • Efficiency and technical quality
  • Presentation and order
  • Innovation in marketing and service
  • Team formation
  • Operation and management processes

Sponsorship Options

The 2026 edition offers three levels of sponsorship for brands interested in joining the event:

Platinum Sponsorship – Exclusive (US $7,500)
It includes participation in the award ceremony, moderation of the finalist panel, presence at the finalist dinner, inclusion of logo on trophies and plaques, prominent visibility in the finalist brochure, promotional mailings, and full-page guidelines.

Gold Sponsorship – Non-Exclusive (US $5,000)
It includes participation in the finalists' dinner, inclusion of the logo on plaques and a brochure of finalists, presence in promotional mailings and half a page of advertising plus advertorial.

Silver Sponsorship – Non-Exclusive (US $4,000)
Includes presence in the finalist brochure, promotional mailings and half a page of advertising.
