Germany. Automechanika Frankfurt will kick off its 2026 edition with the third version of its exclusive CEO Breakfast, a meeting that will bring together international leaders from the automotive and auto parts industry on September 8 in a space designed to analyze the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
The main guest figure will be the explorer, innovator and promoter of sustainable technologies, Bertrand Piccard, who will offer a keynote speech focused on innovation, pioneering spirit and the economic opportunities derived from sustainable transformation.
Piccard achieved worldwide recognition for milestones such as the first non-stop round-the-world balloon and the Solar Impulse mission, which achieved the first round-the-world flight in an aircraft powered exclusively by solar energy.
He is currently leading the Climate Impulse project, which aims to make the first non-stop flight around the planet and with zero emissions, using liquid hydrogen as an energy source.
As a United Nations Special Ambassador, psychiatrist and entrepreneur, Piccard will share his vision on innovation, resilience and the opportunities offered by the green transition for global industries, including the automotive aftermarket.
During the CEO Breakfast, the guest will show how sustainable technologies and bold thinking can help define the future of strategic sectors around the world.
The keynote will be followed by a CEO Talk featuring representatives from companies such as Aumovio, Castrol, Continental, MANN+HUMMEL, Schaeffler and ZF. The conversation will address topics such as the transformation of the industry, sustainable mobility, technological innovations and new business models in the international auto parts and aftermarket market.
The CEO Breakfast will take place on September 8, 2026 at the Forum, Level 1, Panorama Room, within the Frankfurt Exhibition Grounds. Doors will open and breakfast will begin at 7:00 a.m., while official programming will begin at 7:30 a.m.
