Expopartes Medellín 2026 consolidated the regional aftermarket

Colombia. Expopartes Autopartes Medellín 2026 Fair ended with results that reaffirm the importance of Colombia as one of the main business centers of the aftermarket in Latin America.

For three days, Plaza Mayor brought together manufacturers, distributors, workshops, importers and buyers from different countries in a scenario focused on commercial development, technological innovation and professional updating of the sector.

The fair, organized by Asopartes, was attended by more than 450 exhibitors from 25 countries and received around 22,700 professional visitors, who toured the nearly 34,700 square meters of exhibition. The event aimed to strengthen the competitiveness of the industry and generate new business opportunities for companies linked to the auto parts and aftermarket market.

One of the main achievements of this edition was the projection of business in excess of US$125 million, driven by business roundtables and commercial meetings between national and international companies. The fair also left an estimated impact of $33,000 million on the economy of Medellín, benefiting sectors such as hotels, transportation, gastronomy and business tourism, in addition to contributing to the generation of more than 1,200 direct and indirect jobs during its realization.

The technical and academic agenda was another of the pillars of the meeting. More than 70 conferences, specialized demonstrations and product launches addressed topics related to combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles, automotive electronics, artificial intelligence applied to vehicle diagnostics, workshop equipment and solutions for the aftermarket.

Among the international guests was Travis Chin, world president of IASCA Worldwide, who led the activities related to the car audio competitions developed within the framework of the Xtreme Fest.

The fair also promoted the internationalization of the sector through the participation of business delegations from countries such as the United States, Mexico, Brazil, China, South Korea, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Uruguay and Argentina, strengthening export opportunities for Colombian companies.

During the event, Carlos Andrés Pineda Osorio, president of Asopartes, stressed that the technological transformation of vehicles requires an increasingly prepared industry and pointed out that the fair has been consolidated as a space to strengthen commercial relations, promote the adoption of new technologies and increase the competitiveness of the entire automotive chain.

With this edition, Expopartes Medellín reaffirmed its role as one of the main specialized aftermarket showcases in Latin America, integrating business, innovation, knowledge transfer and international cooperation in the same scenario.
