With a record projection of more than 7,000 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions, Automechanika Shanghai 2025 is preparing to open its doors from November 26 to 29 at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center, consolidating itself as one of the most important events in the automotive industry globally.
The fair will bring together 15 international pavilions and four national clusters, which will showcase the strength of manufacturing ecosystems and the latest innovations in mobility, components, energy and connectivity. The dedicated areas will be distributed in halls 1.1, 2.1, 5.1, 6.1 and 2.2 of the fairgrounds.
Fiona Chiew, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, highlighted the magnitude and relevance of the event:
"Automechanika Shanghai's global outlook, focus on emerging trends and wide range of products on display are key factors attracting international participants. This year we are preparing for the largest edition to date, with more than 7,000 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions, as well as visitors from 180 countries and regions, based on last year's results. This international character enriches the experiences and objectives in terms of marketing, trade, exchange of information and training, reinforcing the relevance and impact of the fair in the automotive industry".
20% increase in international pavilion space
International interest in Automechanika Shanghai continues to grow. This year, the area allocated to the pavilions of countries and regions increased by almost 20% compared to 2024, reflecting the strong commitment of organizers and exhibitors to participate in the fair.
Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States will be represented.
The German pavilion will feature 25 companies focused on parts, components, electronics, diagnostics and accessories. These include Nidec GPM, with its line of electric oil and water pumps, and SEG Automotive, originally from the Bosch Group. Autotestgeräte Leitenberger, Batemo, Novonol GmbH and Profi-Tech will also participate.
Meanwhile, the Italian pavilion will bring together Corim, Experica, FRA-BER, GART and Mego Srl, who will exhibit sustainable components, industrial cleaning solutions, spare parts, high-performance automotive equipment and precision metal parts.
The Korean pavilion, with a 50% growth in size, will occupy more than 700 m² in Hall 2.1. Companies such as Autotop Co Ltd, C&Lube Co Ltd, DH Lighting Co Ltd and Geobin Co Ltd will participate. The expansion is due in part to the boost from the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA), which will showcase innovations from small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.
For its part, the Thai pavilion will showcase the potential of Southeast Asian manufacturing, with 27 exhibitors such as ACV, Amrita Automotive, Bangkok Autopart, CJ Manufacturing, Pioneer Engineering International, Goodrubber International and Nisto Rubber Manufacturing.
The Turkey pavilion will feature everything from petrochemicals from Alkim and Reksoil to plastic parts from Pleksan, along with precision components from Tigear, Kameks, Almner and FA-ME.
China boosts its leadership with four national clusters
The event will also serve as a showcase for China's major automotive hubs, with four national pavilions reflecting advances in new energy and connected vehicles.
Li Zhang, President of China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd, underlined the strategic role of the fair: "Each automotive manufacturing cluster in China has its own industrial bases and geographical advantages, supported by R+D, testing and pilot projects that foster the development of infrastructure for new energy and smart connected vehicles. Automechanika Shanghai provides a platform to showcase the latest technological advances, launch products, conduct technical seminars and foster business linkages, connecting industry resources and creating opportunities for technological collaboration and market expansion."
For the past 20 years, Automechanika Shanghai has been a key platform for Chinese companies to launch into the global market, driven also by supportive government policies and the consolidation of strategic industrial clusters.
The national pavilions that will participate this year are:
- Changzhou (Hall 5.1): Six companies with solutions for electric motorcycles, smart chassis, electrical components, charging guns and power batteries.
- Hubei (Hall 5.1, debut): four exhibitors focused on infrared perception, efficient energy supply and system solutions for intelligent vehicles.
- Longquan (Hall 6.1): 19 stands specialising in thermal management, integrated systems and temperature control for electric vehicles.
- Tianjin (Hall 5.1, debut): 10 exhibitors, including laboratories, manufacturers and institutes, with software, chips, visual perception, assistive technologies, vehicle safety and data management.
Innovation, knowledge and networking
In addition to its 383,000 m² exhibition space, the fair will feature more than 90 parallel activities – seminars, forums and launches – that will foster dialogue and knowledge transfer between industry leaders.
Automechanika Shanghai will be held from November 26 to 29, 2025 at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center.
