Qualcomm Joins Qorix as Strategic Partner to Strengthen Automotive Software Development

International. The German company Qorix, specialized in middleware solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), announced the incorporation of Qualcomm Ventures.

With this investment, Qualcomm joins KPIT Technologies Ltd. and ZF, majority shareholders of Qorix, in strengthening a platform that drives the evolution of automotive software.

The involvement of Qualcomm Technologies, through its investment arm Qualcomm Ventures, strengthens Qorix's technology capabilities and expands its global reach. The goal of this alliance is to accelerate innovation, scalability and performance in vehicle software platforms, relying on KPIT's joint expertise in software development, ZF's automotive systems expertise and Qualcomm's cutting-edge technology.

As part of the agreement, Qorix's middleware will be pre-integrated into Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ platforms, including Snapdragon Ride™ and Snapdragon® Cockpit, both available separately.

"From the beginning, we have envisioned Qorix as a technology-driven company that accelerates the transition to software-defined vehicles. Qualcomm's investment further validates this vision and strengthens our ability to deliver world-class middleware solutions. With Qualcomm's strong position in automotive hardware and its high-performance computing platforms, our middleware can now scale more efficiently, opening up new opportunities with leading manufacturers," said Kishor Patil, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Qorix.

An open and independent platform

Qorix will continue to operate as an independent middleware vendor, with a strategy open to new partnerships. This investment consolidates its role as a key partner for OEMs and auto parts suppliers looking for efficient solutions to handle the increasing complexity of automotive software and shorten development cycles.
