International. The Iron Lynx team announced the continuity of its alliance with the German brand Blaupunkt for the 2026 season, consolidating a collaboration that is projected in both the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
After a demanding 2025 season – which marked the return of Mercedes-AMG to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and closed with an outstanding podium at the 8 Hours of Bahrain – both organisations confirmed the extension of their joint programme for next year.
Founded in 1924, Blaupunkt is globally recognized for its track record in automotive electronics and high-performance audio systems, backed by German engineering. For 2026, the brand will maintain a prominent presence on the team's cars and visual assets throughout the WEC calendar, including competitions in the Middle East, South America, the United States and Japan, as well as key ELMS events such as the 4 Hours of Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps.
The alliance, based on shared values such as quality, precision and performance, aims to strengthen the team's competitiveness, with the aim of achieving new podiums and achieving its first WEC victory alongside Mercedes-AMG.
The 2026 WEC season will officially kick off from 17-19 April with the 6 Hours of Imola, following the postponement of the round in Qatar. At this event, the #61 and #79 Iron Lynx cars, which will bear Blaupunkt's image, will begin their participation in a campaign that promises high global visibility for the brand.
Andrea Piccini, Team Principal and CEO of Iron Lynx, highlighted the strategic value of the alliance and the results achieved in 2025, especially in fan activation, while Frank Goergen, Blaupunkt board member, underlined that endurance racing reflects the brand's core principles: performance, efficiency and uncompromising quality. Both agreed on their expectation of competing for podiums and victories in the 2026 season.
