Germany. TecAlliance celebrates the 25th anniversary of TecCom, its B2B platform specialising in order management within the independent aftermarket.
Founded in 2000 during Automechanika Frankfurt and officially registered on September 19 of the same year, TecCom was born with the aim of replacing complex, error-prone manual ordering processes with standardized digital transactions. With the backing of around twenty key players in the sector, the platform quickly established itself as a leader in the European market.
Since its inception, TecCom has been guided by a central conviction: digitalization is the key to the progress of the aftermarket. This principle remains valid today, in an environment marked by the advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence, Web3 and the metaverse, which pose both challenges and opportunities. The company reaffirms its mission to help the industry meet these challenges by expanding its platform, enhancing its data and automation services, and strengthening the global aftermarket community.
Today, TecCom Order connects more than 35,000 distributors and 280 suppliers, managing more than 12 million transactions annually in more than 50 countries. Its evolution from a European focus to a global presence with expansion into North America and other regions reflects the market's transformation towards digital and automated commerce.
The anniversary celebration was also present at the TecCom Community Meeting DACH, held on 24 and 25 September in Cologne. More than 50 representatives of the German-speaking market met to discuss sustainability, regulation, artificial intelligence, automation and the future of digital distribution channels.
The meeting reaffirmed that collaboration and mutual trust continue to be the pillars to build the digital future of the aftermarket, just as they were 25 years ago.
"Tec Com has been demonstrating for 25 years that digitalization and collaboration are the key to competitiveness in the aftermarket," said Bryan Marschall, Executive Vice President Process Solution. "Our mission remains the same: to reduce costs, increase efficiency and strengthen links within the sector. Collaboration is not only a successful strategy, but also the way to overcome the enormous challenges and opportunities of the future."
