MEMA Appoints Jon Gentile as New Vice President of Legislative Affairs

United States. MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association, is pleased to announce that Jon Gentile has joined the organization as the new Vice President of Legislative Affairs.

With a wealth of experience in advocacy and government relations, Jon will play a pivotal role in implementing a strong legislative agenda for MEMA in 2025.

Jon brings over a decade of government relations experience, having most recently served as the director of advocacy for the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA). Her expertise in building relationships with legislators, developing strategic advocacy initiatives, and overseeing successful grassroots campaigns will be invaluable to MEMA.

In his new role, Jon will work closely with Ana Meuwissen, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at MEMA, to drive the association's policy initiatives and strengthen its influence in Washington, D.C. Together, they will ensure that MEMA's advocacy efforts effectively represent the interests of the vehicle supplier industry.

"MEMA is at a critical moment as we prepare to work with a new Administration and the 119th Congress in 2025," said Ana Meuwissen. "Jon's extensive experience and proven track record in government affairs make him the ideal leader to help us meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. Jon will play a key role in ensuring that supplier priorities are understood and addressed."

Jon holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduated laude. Her dedication to professional development is also evidenced in her Public Policy Certificate from the National Institute of Lobbying and Ethics.

Jon's commitment to defense goes beyond his professional career; he is currently President of the National Institute of Lobbying and Ethics and has served on several boards and committees dedicated to governance and education.

MEMA looks forward to Jon's contributions as the association continues to advocate for its members and promote policies that support the growth and sustainability of the vehicle supplier industry.
