Kurabe invests 14 million dollars in Aguascalientes

Mexico. The first plant installed in the Americas of the Kurabe company, dedicated to the production of heaters for steering wheels and seats, among other accessories, began operations after two years of construction in the San Francisco de los Romo IV Industrial Park, state of Aguascalientes, Mexico.

With an investment of 14 million dollars, the Japanese company assures that in its first stage it will provide productive employment to 400 people.

"I am grateful for the trust to establish its production plant here, the only one in the entire American continent; this has been possible because we are the Logistical Heart of America, due to our privileged location," said the governor of the state of Aguascalientes, María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel.

The state governor said that, with this new investment, Aguascalientes strengthens its leadership in the region and in the country, in the development of state-of-the-art technology, in the strengthening of value chains and in the generation of jobs.

"We're not going to let them down. Here they will find a fertile territory to continue expanding the long friendship that unites Japan and Aguascalientes, because here there is capacity, talent, commitment and willingness to respond to their decision," he said

Takenobu Kanazawa, CEO of the Kurabe Group, said Kurabe generates annual sales of more than $280 million and employs about 4,500 people at its 10 plants in Japan, Vietnam and China.
