The BMW Group has appointed Axalta Coating Systems as the exclusive supplier of the BMW Group's private label paint, ColorSystem, which is currently present in 15 European countries plus South Africa. The agreement includes the BMW Group's network of 730 dealers and collision repair partners.
According to the company, BMW Group's ColorSystem is designed to be one of the most technologically advanced paint systems in the world. It offers finishing solutions that meet the standards of the BMW Group OEMs.

"Through a rigorous process, Axalta has proven that it can maintain exceptional service for BMW Group dealers and customers. We look forward to building a mutually beneficial, strong and future-proof relationship, as well as growing the ColorSystem network to even more collision repair shops and in more countries."
As part of the agreement, Axalta will also provide its latest innovative paint system with Fast Cure Low Energy technology. This system has the potential to reduce carbon equivalent emissions and energy consumption by up to 45% compared to standard paint technologies.
The agreement will run until December 2028 and is in addition to existing supplier agreements with the BMW Group.
