Asahi Kasei America

United States. Asahi Kasei America, Asahi Kasei Group's regional headquarters for North America, has moved its Novi, Michigan office to a newer, larger facility.

This move is part of the company's commitment to strengthen marketing activities focused on the automotive industry.

According to the company, the field of mobility has been a key focus for Asahi Kasei, known for its materials for car interiors, plastic composites, battery separators and electronic components.

Asahi Kasei products have found widespread adoption in numerous vehicle models by major OEMs.

As the industry ventures into the era of electric vehicle propulsion, the landscape of automotive materials and components is changing dramatically. Asahi Kasei's new, larger office will serve as a hub for displaying various materials during this significant surge in demand.

By moving to Novi near Detroit, the group seeks to foster stronger relationships with major automakers and their extensive supplier network in the region.

The expanded Novi office will catalyze and strengthen marketing and sales promotion functions, enabling rapid adaptation to emerging changes in demand.

"We are excited to embark on this journey of growth and innovation. As the world of mobility continues to accelerate in several areas, Asahi Kasei is committed to building a stronger foundation for the future," said Iichiro Kitsuda, executive vice president of strategic planning and marketing, Asahi Kasei America.

"The expansion of the office allows us to strengthen collaborations with our esteemed OEMs and tier one partners while showcasing our latest technologies. It aligns with our growth plan, which drives us to continuously deliver innovative products to an ever-changing market," added Kitsuda.

The Novi office serves as a functional space where Asahi Kasei Group's operations throughout North America can host exhibitions, events and technical demonstrations, providing a platform to showcase the company's products and features. It features a dedicated product showroom featuring the interior concept of Asahi Kasei's AKXY POD vehicle.

According to the company, beyond mobility, Asahi Kasei's other business operations will use the Novi Office to explore new opportunities, particularly in decarbonization, in close collaboration with the various business units and R+D functions of the Japan-based company.
