Automechanika Shanghai 2022 ignites engines to foster innovation in the automotive ecosystem

Automechanika

International. At the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai (China) engines are already roaring for the fair that from December 1 to 4 will host 3500 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions.

The influence of future mobility, new energy solutions, a resilient consumer market and an evolving regulatory environment are sending waves of innovation across the automotive ecosystem. These dimensions form the basis of Automechanika Shanghai's Innovation4Mobility concept, reinforcing opportunities along the supply chain that the automotive community can capture through new areas and events.

Fiona Chiew, Deputy Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt (HK), said: "The automotive industry is a social pillar that actively contributes to the evolving landscape of future mobility. With digitalization, new policies and consumer behavior manifesting a sustainable automotive ecosystem, we believe Automechanika Shanghai is an integral part of the transformation. The show offers a renowned collection of global expertise and features the right tools for players to innovate along this development path."

In this regard, the 17th edition of Automechanika Shanghai adopts Innovation4Mobility to represent a unique way to present China's transformative direction in the automotive industry to a global audience.

Agenda in sight
Starting in July, a series of online interviews with A Dialogue with Automotive Entrepreneurs media will return, delving into the value chain of new energy vehicles and key developments from industry pioneers. In addition, players can tune in to a webinar with global thought leaders discussing the alternative fuels sector in August.

The fair's themes under this concept will echo the country's "four new modernizations" (electrification, intelligence, connectivity and sharing) and the "dual-carbon targets" that are rapidly expanding the automotive value chain.

In addition, Parts & Components is a key sector that highlights how digitalization and electrification enable greater efficiency and connectivity. Leading auto parts suppliers will showcase the latest in engine electronics, electrified products and technologies.

On the other hand, Tomorrow's Service & Mobility is preparing to cover opportunities that extend both to alternative propulsion technologies (hydrogen and fuel cell) and to the electric mobility chain (batteries, electric thrusters, electric controls and battery exchange installations).

Finally, A New Era of Commercial Vehicles will go further to address the role of commercial vehicles in the logistics industry with a scenario-based visualization of the hydrogen energy supply chain.

At the fair, more than 50 complementary events will address advances in mobility, environmental protection and more.
