The CALA Awards 2026 already have finalists. After an international technical evaluation process, three workshops in Latin America were selected as the best models of management and professionalization of the independent sector: MOTORtronic (Ecuador), EuroTaller Calderón (Costa Rica) and AUTOCAMBIOS EUROTECH (Colombia).
The jury's decision was based on indicators of digitalization, operational efficiency, technical standards, commercial strategy, marketing and continuous training, criteria that reflect the new demands of the automotive business in the region.
Management models under the magnifying glass
MOTORtronic, from Riobamba, stood out for the comprehensive digitalization of its processes, the documented diagnosis in real time and a positioning strategy based on technical educational content.
In Costa Rica, EuroTaller Calderón was recognized for its operation structured by specialized areas, digital control of orders and inventories and a permanent measurement scheme of technical and commercial KPIs.
For its part, AUTOCAMBIOS EUROTECH, with a presence in four cities in Colombia, competes with dealers under a 100% model with prior appointment and digital traceability per vehicle, supported by digital customer acquisition and strict measurement of profitability.
"The independent automotive industry in Latin America is undergoing a profound transformation, and these three finalists are a clear example that professionalization, continuous training and strategic management make a difference," said Laura Restrepo, director of the academic program at AutoAmericas Show. "To recognize these models is to inspire the entire region to raise its standards."
The organization confirmed that the public can now vote for their favorite workshop through the official platform of the event. The announcement of the winner will mark one of the central moments of AutoAmericas Show 2026 and will put one of the most solid business models in the Latin American independent sector in the regional showcase.
