Germany. ZF Aftermarket announced the availability of its new line of Sachs air shock absorbers, developed in original equipment (OE) quality for the independent aftermarket.
This solution, which combines the air spring and the shock absorber in a single component, responds to the sustained growth of vehicles equipped with this technology worldwide.
Currently, it is estimated that there are about 10 million vehicles with air suspension in the European Union and around 25 million worldwide. This advancement has led to an increased demand for replacement components, such as complete pneumatic struts.
The new Sachs range from ZF Aftermarket is easy to install thanks to its plug-and-play design and includes all necessary mounting parts. In addition, it is fully compatible with the vehicles' electronic control systems, enabling functions such as auto-leveling and adaptive damping.
The first applications already available cover models of Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg. ZF confirmed that in the coming months the range will be expanded to include options for Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover.
Sachs air shock absorbers are designed to deliver original driving performance. They incorporate sensors that monitor road conditions, vehicle load and movements in real time. This information is processed by a control unit that adjusts the damping force every two milliseconds by means of a proportional valve, thus optimising stability, comfort and control while driving.
With this new line, ZF Aftermarket reinforces its commitment to innovation and technical support for workshops and distributors, expanding its portfolio of solutions in the premium suspension segment.
