CAPAS 2025 concludes with record turnout, boosts automotive dynamism in southwest China

China. With record attendance and a greater presence of global brands, the Chengdu International Automotive Aftermarket Parts and Services Trade Fair (CAPAS Chengdu) closed its 11th edition on May 24, cementing its role as a strategic platform for the automotive industry in southwest China.

The event, held at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition and Convention Center, brought together 21,896 visitors and 773 exhibitors in a space of 52,000 m². Over the course of three days, attendees explored the latest innovations in new energy, connectivity and vehicle personalisation. In addition, 23 side events were held that addressed key topics such as technological innovation, supply chain cooperation, technical education and automotive culture.

"CAPAS was able to successfully connect with international players in the sector, receiving positive feedback for facilitating business opportunities, technological exchanges and cooperation in the supply chain," said James Yu, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

The transformation towards smart and sustainable mobility was evident in the products and services presented by national and international brands, which showcased solutions ranging from key components and electrical systems to charging infrastructure and after-sales services.

Among the novelties, Shanghai GKN HUAYU Driveline Systems Co Ltd exhibited its latest transmission systems.

"Our goal is to increase brand recognition and connect with local distributors in the Southwest. The first day exceeded our expectations," shared Emma Lu, Marketing and Sales Supervisor of the Aftermarket department.

The rise of new energy vehicles has also boosted the demand for customization and accessories, opening up new business opportunities.

"The rapid growth of new energy vehicles and the demand for customization has led us to launch products that combine paint protection and color customization," said Hongbin Liang, Chief Operating Officer of MOTJ Car Film at Guangdong Chelimei Technology Co Ltd.

Global Connections

The international dimension of the event was clear with the presence of visitors from 26 countries and regions. Buyer groups from Asia, Europe and the Middle East highlighted the event's orientation to market trends. "It was an excellent balance between business and culture," added Mariusz Prusaczyk, deputy director of the CV Product Department at Inter Cars SA (Poland), after participating in the Discovery Tour.

An event that amplifies its impact

With specialized media coverage and live broadcasts showcasing technology, automotive culture and the dynamism of the Sichuan-Chongqing cluster, CAPAS 2025 managed to strengthen its visibility and reaffirm itself as a key platform for the industry.
