United States. Dayco announced the addition of 30 new part numbers to its aftermarket product line in North America. With these new part numbers, Dayco enhances its coverage for a vehicle population exceeding 28 million.
The new references include eight timing chain kits, nine tensioners and thirteen hoses, with which the brand increases its coverage for more than 28 million vehicles in operation.
More chain kits, a growing trend
As part of its expansion strategy in this category, Dayco launched eight new timing chain kits, covering 11.6 million vehicles. The company plans to validate and launch a total of 60 kits during 2025, in line with OEMs' growing preference for chains over belts. The kits stand out for their durability — the chains don't stretch over the life of the system — and are backed by a two-year, or 60,000-mile warranty, on both parts and labor.
Among the new launches are also three heavy-duty tensioners, developed for Paccar MX11 and MX13 engines, which currently power more than 200,000 Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. These components improve engine performance under extreme conditions and reduce belt noise.
In addition, there are six tensioners for light-duty vehicles, which provide coverage for more than 11 million units of brands such as Stellantis, Jeep, Ram, Buick, Lexus, Toyota and Honda. Dayco assures that these parts exceed the performance and durability of the originals.
The portfolio is completed with eleven branched hoses for radiators and two molded hoses for heaters, which together cover 5.8 million vehicles. All are exact OE replacements, require no cuts, and meet OE and SAE standards. They are spiral-reinforced for strength and designed to withstand harsh conditions such as exposure to oil, mud, salt, road debris, ozone, and thermal variations.
