Colombia. The 2 Wheels Fair (F2R), the most important event of the motorcycle industry in Latin America, returns to Medellín from May 15 to 18 with its most ambitious edition so far.
With an expansion to 48,000 m² of exhibition, it becomes the largest fair held in Plaza Mayor and one of the three most important in the sector worldwide.
With a projection of 90 thousand visitors – 12% from abroad – more than 500 exhibitors and 127 activities, F2R 2025 is consolidated as the key event for manufacturers, distributors, experts and lovers of motorcycles and light mobility.
Among the highlights is the opening of the Orange Pavilion Tent, a space dedicated to light and sustainable mobility, where a new generation of electric vehicles can be tested on an exclusive Test Drive track. For its part, the traditional track for combustion motorcycles will be moved to the road between Plaza Mayor and the Metropolitan Theater, allowing a wider and safer route.
The 2025 edition will put a strong focus on the business sector. The Business Leaders Meeting, which will take place on May 15 and 16, will bring together experts and decision-makers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the industry.
The Light Mobility Panel will also debut, an academic space that will analyze the future of sustainable urban transport with an emphasis on innovation, regulations and public policies.
The fair expects visitors from more than 45 countries, in addition to the public from all over Colombia: 47% from Antioquia and 53% from other departments. With an estimated economic spillover of 29.6 million dollars and a projected hotel occupancy above 78%, F2R continues to be an engine of development for Medellín and the region.
The Ministry of Mobility joins the fair with a prevention campaign
This year, the Secretariat of Mobility of Medellín is linked to F2R with its campaign "We want you alive", focused on the prevention of road accidents with motorcyclists. Through virtual reality experiences, visitors will be able to experience risk simulations on the road.
Since its launch in October 2024, the strategy has shown results. According to the Mobility Observatory, deaths in road corridors with the presence of the campaign have been reduced by 33%. As of March 31, 2025, there have been 74 deaths due to road incidents, of which 47 were motorcyclists (64%). "This year the reduction of this indicator is 5.1% of deaths on the roads, which has been achieved with prevention, control and awareness of motorcycle drivers," explained the authorities.
