Sony unveils new XAV-1600 car display model

Mexico. The Sony XAV-1600 display maintains an ergonomic design and offers greater connectivity with smartphones via WebLink.

This device is designed to provide a smoother and more efficient user experience while driving, with a number of features that optimize both entertainment and safety.

  • Touchscreen and ergonomic design The XAV-1600 features a 6.75-inch (17.1 cm) anti-glare touchscreen, ensuring clear, distraction-free viewing in sunlight. In addition, its simple and accessible interface allows for easy navigation, while physical button controls ensure quick access to essential functions, such as source selection and sound settings.
  • WebLink and YouTube support One of the highlights of the XAV-1600 is its support for WebLink, a vehicle application platform that allows Android or iOS devices to be connected to the display via a USB cable. Users can enjoy reliable information and entertainment while traveling, and with the option to watch YouTube content from the screen itself, as long as they are not driving, ensuring safety behind the wheel.
  • Bluetooth connection and reversing camera The XAV-1600 also offers Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to make hands-free calls and stream audio wirelessly. In addition, it is compatible with a rearview camera (not included), which provides greater parking safety by automatically displaying the image when shifting into reverse, with an adjustable parking guide for easy maneuvering.
  • High-quality sound with EXTRA BASS and 10-band EQ The XAV-1600's sound system is optimised with the 55Wx4 DRA2 amplifier, which, together with EXTRA BASS technology, ensures powerful and clear audio reproduction, even in outdoor noise conditions. In addition, the 10-band equalizer allows you to customize the sound according to the user's preferences, while the Dynamic Stage Organizer function improves sound positioning for an immersive audio experience.
  • FLAC support and future expansion For lovers of high-quality music, the XAV-1600 supports FLAC files, offering lossless audio playback. In addition, it has 3 pre-out terminals for possible expansion of the sound system, allowing amplifiers and subwoofers to be added for even more powerful sound.

In addition, the display model features a simple and compact installation thanks to its compact rear chassis design. This makes it easier to integrate into different types of vehicles, leaving more space for cables and other accessories.
