AutoAméricas confirms the first protagonists of the academic congress

United States. AutoAméricas Show has revealed the programming and the protagonists who will be at the forefront of the long-awaited Academic Congress, an event designed to bring together the leaders of the automotive industry in Latin America.

This space for knowledge and networking, which will take place within the framework of the fair, promises to address key issues that impact automotive aftersales, international trade, sustainability and leadership in the sector.

The event will begin on February 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with a robust schedule that includes keynotes, panel discussions, and award spaces that reflect the challenges and opportunities of the market.

Inaugural Lecture: Driving into the Future
From 12:00 to 12:45 p.m., it will be discussed how the EuroTaller and Groupauto ecosystem can revolutionize automotive aftersales, promoting sustainable businesses. Leading experts such as David Ibarra, Camilo Chavarro and Antoni Diestrre will participate, who will share perspectives from Colombia, Panama and other countries in the region.

Customs challenges in the region
Starting at 12:45 p.m., Francia Hernández, from Forvis Mazars, will lead the conference "Customs Challenges in the Auto Parts Industry in Latin America". This space will analyze the impact of customs regulations on the supply chain and strategies to optimize processes, a crucial topic for actors in the sector.

Panel: Women on the Move
Female leadership will take center stage from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. in the panel "Women on the Move: Transforming the Automotive Industry." With the participation of Norvy Barreiro (Netpartes) and Mónica Ortiz (Checorepuestos), the panel will highlight how women are redefining the direction of the sector. The session will be moderated by Francia Hernández.

New trends in workshops and rebuilders
From 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., Francisco José Aristizábal, technical specialist at AERA, will present the conference "Repair, reuse, revolutionize", exploring the impact of the transition to electric vehicles and its relationship with independent workshops and rebuilders.

Panel CALA Awards: Best Repair Repair Shop
At 3:45 p.m., the finalists of the 2025 CALA Awards will share their vision for the future of auto repair shops in a panel dedicated to highlighting talent and innovation in the region.

The day will culminate with the long-awaited CALA Awards Ceremony starting at 5:00 p.m., an event that will recognize the best mechanical workshops in the region, followed by a welcome cocktail to celebrate the achievements of the sector.
