BendPak Boosts Productivity with New Mobi-EVSTM EV & Powertrain Lifts

United States. BendPak continues to enhance its Mobi-EVS™ series of lifting systems for electric vehicle (EV) batteries and powertrains.

These innovations are aligned with the purpose of increasing technician productivity and ergonomics when working with heavy electric vehicle battery packs, traditional powertrains or other bulky vehicle components. The new Mobi-EVS4500 and EVS3000 models are stronger, more durable and easier to manoeuvre.

"Since introducing the first mobile EV battery lift table in 2021, which is fully elevated and battery-powered, we have never stopped refining our patent-pending design based on customer feedback, in-house testing, and ongoing engineering analysis," says Sean Price, BendPak's Director of Sales Operations.

"From obvious improvements like a new handle to those that aren't as easy to notice, like the use of higher-quality steels in key components, our latest innovations make the EVS4500 and EVS3000 perfect for electric car, van and commercial truck service," Price added.

All lifting systems in the Mobi-EVS series are compact and portable. They are powered by a 12-volt DC power unit with a deep-cycle battery, so there are no extension cords or air lines to get in the way. Durable, impact-resistant ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene protects the workbench from wear, serves as an insulation barrier, and provides a low-friction surface to allow technicians to move heavy components with less effort.

Updates to the new Mobi-EVS models include lowering the center of gravity, redesigning the base frame and scissor assemblies, increasing the use of high-tensile steel, widening the safety assembly, and increasing the size of welds overall. BendPak engineers also improved the patent-pending tilt table to make it even easier to adjust and to improve overall stability.

Mobi-EVS helps technicians maximize efficiency by keeping tools nearby. In addition to full-length utility trays on both sides of all Mobi-EVS models, the new EVS4500 and EVS3000 offer storage options at the front and rear for organizing tools and adapters.

The new models also provide improved mobility. They feature a new full-width, U-shaped push/pull handle that offers greater control when moving the lift around the shop. The handle is stored in the base when it is not needed. Easy-gliding multi-directional swivel wheels allow the operator to move the table and change direction effortlessly, while a new tri-caster locking pin improves straight-line travel.

A single person can control the operation of the Mobi-EVS with the attached pendulum controller. With the push of a button, the approximately 43 x 63-inch lift platform lifts more than 6 feet in 18 seconds. The multi-point safety locking system is automatically activated during lifting and is easily deactivated by pressing a button on the pendulum controller.
