MG Motor and SAIC announce operation of their new PDC

Distribución de piezas

Mexico. MG Motor Mexico and SAIC announced the recent commissioning of their new Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in San Luis Potosi.

This new distribution center has an investment of 130 million pesos and an initial storage capacity of just over 200,000 pieces, which will allow MG to continue offering the best service to its customers.

During the guided tour of the warehouse located in the Millennium Industrial Park in San Luis Potosí, the team involved reported that, during this year, MG will continue to invest in installed capacity, as well as in processes and methodologies to support the aggressive sales and consolidation objectives in the country for this and the following years.

The new MG warehouse has a storage capacity of up to six months of inventory in collision and mechanical parts, with a delivery capacity of approximately 2,200 pieces per day, allowing deliveries throughout the Republic in no more than three days.

Thanks to these characteristics, MG seeks to optimize the logistics of spare parts distribution, reduce delivery times and guarantee the immediate availability of the parts that customers need in its now 74 agencies nationwide.

The new MG Parts Distribution Center was established in San Luis Potosí, as it is part of the most important industrial corridor in the country, ensuring faster deliveries, with lower costs and speed in service. It has a staff of 24 collaborators and, so far this year, MG has entered the country 52 exclusive containers, equivalent to 127,000 pieces.

Currently, MG has counteracted the global impact that occurred in 2022 after the total closure experienced in Shanghai and this year begins with a healthy inventory and a series of key processes and methodologies to sustain a weekly stock planning to supply all distributors, seeking to further boost the sales of the brand and, Of course, the positioning of the brand with its current models and the five launches it plans for this year.

In addition, it implements various strategies to improve customer service, such as constant training for its after-sales executives and the creation of service packages, which help distributors to have the parts at the key moments that users need it.

"We are committed to our MGCare service philosophy, which encompasses the values of after-sales to offer a personalized, gentle, reliable and responsible service in order to ensure that our users enjoy their MG for many years and for many thousands of kilometers," concluded Diego García, after-sales director MG Motor Mexico, during the visit.

For the remainder of 2023, due to MG's growth plans in Mexico and international logistics conditions, MG and SAIC will make a second expansion of the Parts Distribution Center to grow it to 10,000 m2, to be one step ahead of the market and be able to continue promoting its growing objective towards the customer.
