Continental Tire Appoints New PLT Sales Directors

Directores Continental

United States. Continental Tire Americas has appointed three new leaders in its PLT Sales department.

Ron Sinclair joins Continental Tire as Director of Sales and Distribution; Dave Deronne has been promoted to Director of Retail Channel Sales; Bob Jones has been promoted to Director of Sales for the auto dealer channel.

Sinclair joins Continental Tire with a wealth of experience in the tire industry, having held various positions during his 15 years at American Tire Distributors, including Vice President of Marketing, Senior Vice President of Marketing and President of Franchises for Tire Pros. He has additional consulting experience with the Cannondale Association and marketing experience at Pfizer.

In his new role, Sinclair will lead the team for national and regional distribution customers, as well as Continental's GOLD retail program.

Deronne has been with Continental Tire for 17 years and has previous experience in supply chain, purchasing and sales. He started as a commodity manager and has since served in various roles, including senior program manager and sales planning and, most recently, senior key account executive. Previously, Deronne spent 10 years at Delphi in shopping.

In his new role, Deronne will lead the retail channel team, which includes regional and national retailers.

Jones has been with Continental Tire for nearly 12 years and has vast experience in the sales department. Having started as an area distributor manager, he also has previous experience at Continental Tire as head of pricing and more recently as head of programs and planning.

Prior to Continental Tire, Jones spent seven years at Michelin and two years as vice president of sales at B.Y.O. Playground.
In his new role, Jones will lead a team for the automotive dealership channel focused on the auto dealership aftermarket business.

"We are very pleased with this team of sales directors that we have assembled," said Chris Charity, vice president of sales for Continental Tire.

"Each has a wealth of experience in both sales and the tire industry and we are confident that their leadership will further strengthen our overall strategy and strong customer focus."
