The manufacturer aims to become the world's first Brand of Purpose Built Vehicles (PBVs) by 2030; the first of these will be launched in 2025

The company announced its financial targets for 2026: gross revenue of KRW 120 trillion ($100 billion) and an operating profit margin of 8.3%

With the roadmap to 2030, presented at the virtual event "Kia CEO Investor Day" in 2022, Kia Corporation consolidates its strategic commitment to becoming a leader in sustainable mobility.

This roadmap builds on Kia's successful "Plan S" strategy, first announced in 2020, and reveals more details on how the company will achieve its goal of becoming a provider of sustainable mobility solutions.

This corporate project is supported by three key pillars: "people", "planet" and "profitability". Kia will work on improving customer value, nurturing talent, reducing carbon emissions and generating profits, while operating as a socially responsible company.

During the CEO Investor Day event, Ho Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia Corporation, said: "Kia has been undergoing a large-scale transformation with changes in corporate vision, logo, product, design and strategy. To achieve the company's goal of becoming a provider of sustainable mobility solutions, we will focus on accelerating the transition to future business models. We will push even harder in our customer focus and pursue a dynamic transformation, while maintaining strong business operations."

During the two years since its Plan S strategy was first communicated, Kia has become a leading global electric vehicle brand, while posting the highest gross revenue and operating profit in its history in 2021.

Starting in 2022, Kia intends to continue this positive momentum to create more value in qualitative and quantitative aspects.
