Mexico. The governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jimenez, reported that the Nissan assembly company will produce the Kicks 2025 model in that state.
Through her X account, the governor said: "During our working tour of Japan, we held a meeting with executives of Nissan, a company that generates a large number of jobs and has been essential for the consolidation of our state as a global strategic point in the automotive sector."
"Thanks to the trust they continue to have in the state, they will produce the new Kicks 2025 at their plant in Aguascalientes and we will continue to work together to move towards electromobility and clean energy. I thank Mexico's ambassador to Japan, Melba Pría, for accompanying us and always keeping an eye on the bilateral relationship between the two countries," Jiménez added.
For his part, Esaú Garza de Vega, head of the Secretariat of Economic Development of the state of Aguascalientes, said: "Within the framework of our work agenda for Japan, led by Governor Tere Jimenez, we had a productive meeting with representatives of Nissan Motor Corporation, an emblematic company in Aguascalientes."
"During this meeting, we reaffirmed the state's commitment to the company and expressed our continued support in its expansion process and transition to electromobility and we are pleased to announce that they will produce the new Kicks 2025 at the Aguascalientes plant," he said.
"We deeply appreciate the impact Nissan has on our state, not only as a job creator and economic engine, but also as a great example of innovation and environmental responsibility. Its use of the highest technological processes for the efficient use of resources and its production models aligned with sustainable development are exemplary," said Garza.
