MR InfraAuto announces construction of plant in Zacatecas

Mexico. The governor of the State of Zacatecas, David Monreal Ávila, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean company MR InfraAuto for the installation of an auto parts factory in this Mexican state with an initial investment of 30 million dollars.

The president reported that 400 new jobs are expected to be created. The plant will be located in the Airport Industrial Park, in the municipality of Calera. It also announced that it will start operations in 2024.

The company produces fine embroidery with precision technology, seat components, door locks and transmission parts, among other parts that supply the global automotive industry. Its customers currently include Volkswagen, Ford, Kia and Hyundai.

MR InfraAuto made the decision to settle in Zacatecas, which had not received foreign investment in the automotive sector since 2016, above options such as Nuevo León, Coahuila and San Luis Potosí.
