United States. Dana Incorporated introduced a new line of Victor Reinz Victor-Lock reusable differential joints designed for severe duty applications.
"These premium gaskets feature tough FoamFlex coating material bonded to a steel core with selective silicone flanges to improve seal stress and improve loading in critical areas for a leak-free final seal," the company said.
"Victor-Lock gaskets significantly reduce the chance of degradation over time, offering reliability and long service life in the most challenging environments," said Bill Nunnery, senior director of global aftermarket sales and marketing at Dana.
"Since no additional sealants are required when installing Victor-Lock gaskets, downtime is minimized and there is no clutter," he said.
The stronger and more durable Victor-Lock reusable differential joints are manufactured with FoamFlex material on both sides of the joint to provide a level of compression and recovery, while the steel core provides strength, according to Dana.
The strategically placed Victor Reinz blue elastomeric sealing cord locates sealing tensions, helps seal between bolt holes, and provides an additional level of protection for castings that are not perfectly flat or in perfect alignment.
In addition, according to the company, since no room temperature vulcanized silicone (RTV) is needed, instant sealing occurs, so service technicians do not have to wait for it to be reassembled.
