United States. Cummins, a power and motive power solutions company, along with Chevron USA, a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, will collaborate to foster commercial and industrial adoption of low-carbon fuels in North America.

Through a memorandum of understanding, both companies will seek to leverage their joint vision in the value chains of hydrogen, natural gas and other low-carbon fuels.

This announcement expands both companies' strategic collaboration in hydrogen and renewable natural gas and is expected to encompass other liquid renewable fuels, such as renewable gasoline, biodiesel and renewable diesel.

"At Cummins, we are working to make our Destination Zero strategy a reality and recognize that we cannot do it alone," said Jennifer Rumsey, president and chief executive officer of Cummins Inc.

"Through Accelera by Cummins we have zero-emission technologies for commercial and industrial applications, and we offer a broad portfolio of solutions that reduce greenhouse gases," he said.

"By collaborating strategically with Chevron, we plan to improve access to fuel and infrastructure for our customers, helping to increase the availability of alternative and renewable fuels while reducing emissions."

"The collaboration with Cummins aims to make global energy and supply chains more affordable and reliable, while helping commercial fleets using our products and Cummins equipment move toward decarbonization," said Andy Walz, president of products for the Americas at Chevron.

"No company or industry can do it alone; together with Cummins, our goal is to make progress today," Walz added.

Cummins and Chevron have contributed to the research, development and global deployment of alternative fuel innovation, systems and technologies and will work together to enable the commercial-scale development of alternative fuel production, transportation and delivery systems for industrial and commercial markets, with the goal of consuming transportation vehicles of the type manufactured by Cummins.

Workflows in the new collaboration focus on hydrogen, natural gas and other low-carbon alternative fuels such as blending renewable gasoline, biodiesel, renewable diesel, compressed natural gas and other liquid renewables to expand commercial adoption.
