The 22-1 edition of Aftermarket International is now online!

AMI 22-1

Latin America. The protagonists of this first edition of the year are the brands present at the first edition of AutoAméricas Show, which will take place between March 24 and 25.

More than thirty companies from Latin America, the Caribbean and Florida will be on the 4,518 square meters that make up the total exhibition area of the Miami Airport Convention Center. These will be accompanied by the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) and the Association of the Automotive Sector and its Parts of Colombia (Asopartes), which support the event, for which registration you can access here.

In this issue we also analyze the value of catalytic converters, a fundamental piece to control and reduce the polluting emissions of each vehicle, whose theft skyrocketed during the years of the pandemic in countries such as the United States, where driving without this tool is illegal.

On the other hand, Hunter Engineering's Regional Sales Manager for Mexico and the Caribbean, Eduardo Villarreal, illustrates how ADAS systems align with the safety of each vehicle.

Likewise, the technical consultant of Emmetec & Orpay, Carlos Panzieri, explains all the tricks behind the revision of the electric pumps of hydraulic steering.

Finally, our character of the month for this issue is the president of Asopartes, Carlos Andrés Pineda, an all-terrain entrepreneur who in April celebrates two years at the head of an association that brings together more than 54,000 companies formally registered in the chambers of commerce of Colombia; 40,000 associated with the automotive sector and 14,000 with the motorcycle sector.
