Mexico. Together, executives in Mexico of Valeo announced the project of the fourteenth plant of the company to be installed in the country, specifically in the municipality of Lerma in Toluca.
According to the Director of Human Resources in Mexico and Regional Director of Operations, Emilio Santamaría Beltrán, the investment of 29 million dollars in this factory seeks to promote integration into the Stellantis value chain.
The plant manager, Thomas Galbrun, and the human resources manager, Eydalid Serralde Ruiz, said that 220 jobs will be generated in the new production plant. Of these, according to managers, 33% will be for women.
Since 1990, the company has been present in the Latin American country. It currently manages 12,500 workers in 13 production plants and three development and research centers. Its infrastructure stands out among the most advanced in the country in the automotive spare parts segment.
Nationwide, Valeo has factories in Ciudad Juárez, Querétaro; Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosí. These locations focus on the manufacture of components from all the company's business groups: thermal systems, visibility systems, electrification systems, comfort and driving assistance.
