Hot Shot's Secret Wins AAPEX Packaging Innovation Award

Reconocimiento

United States. Lubrication Specialties, manufacturer of the Hot Shot's Secret brand of high-performance lubricants, oils and additives, announced the addition of a new packaging innovation award.

The award was announced on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the 2023 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) held in Las Vegas from Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

According to the company, the new bottle design, inspired by consumer feedback on diesel vehicles, provides a logical and straightforward method for measuring and administering Hot Shot's Secret diesel fuel additives in now-common uncapped diesel fuel tanks.

The new 16-ounce squeeze bottle features a convenient measuring chamber to dispense the correct amount of product. The long-neck design makes it easy to pour even into diesel fuel tanks with double-finned capless fuel systems.

Lubrication Specialties President Brett Tennar received the award on behalf of Lubrication Specialties on the AAPEX stage and was introduced by Paul McCarthy, CEO of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and Bill Hanvey Auto Care Association, President and CEO.

Josh Steinmetz, brand manager at Secret Hot Shot, said: "Capless fuel tanks have now become almost standard on the latest diesel models. In response to this trend, we felt it was time to implement a package design that would make a funnel unnecessary."

"This new bottle design allows users to purchase the product and immediately measure and pour it on the spot. The development of this innovative design is the work of many people on our team," he added.

"We were pleased that AAPEX's automotive aftermarket community recognized the innovation of this design and look forward to having it on the shelves by the second quarter," he concluded.
