Pirelli inaugurates its first Research and Development Center in Mexico

Mexico. Pirelli celebrated the inauguration of its Research and Development Center in the municipality of Silao, Guanajuato. The tire company made a $15 million investment in this facility, which extends over a 6,000-square-meter site.

In its initial phase, this centre will have a team of 22 engineers who will be dedicated to the development of research in the field of state-of-the-art tyres.

The CEO of Pirelli Mexico, Enrico Verdino, highlighted the value of the new center in allowing the company to create premium products from cutting-edge technology in its research and development.

In turn, the governor of the state, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, highlighted Pirelli's significant investment in Guanajuato, noting that in the last decade the company has allocated US$1,000 million in the region, which reinforces its commitment to the economic development of the area.
