More than 100 panelists gathered Latam Mobility: Mexico 2023

Mobility

Mexico. More than 1,000 attendees, along with more than 100 panelists, gathered at Latam Mobility: Mexico 2023, on October 10 and 11, at the WTC in Mexico City.

This event served as the closing of the "2023 Tour" of the largest community linked to mobility and sustainability in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The meeting had a full agenda, in which fundamental issues towards net zero were addressed, such as the path to zero-emission transport, charging infrastructure, smart cities, the importance of articulation between the public and private sectors, clean fuels, among others.

The two days that took place at the World Trade Center in Mexico City also included important announcements, such as the presentation of the Mexican Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles (AMIVE), chaired by Francisco Cabeza.

"AMIVE will serve as a platform to articulate the ecosystem, with the aim of massifying electric mobility in Mexico," said the director of the entity that will seek to generate synergies between the different actors to open opportunities for growth and investment in electromobility.

Latam Mobility has become a key platform for companies to make launches, innovations and outstanding announcements, such as the alliance signed by Siemens and Vemo with the goal of promoting and massifying sustainable mobility.

On the other hand, Invest in Latam and Latam Mobility launched EvolvX, a division that will be responsible for data analysis and reporting on the mobility and sustainability landscape in the region.

In addition, Latam Mobility officially presented "En Sostenible", a platform dedicated to showcasing industry leaders and inspirational characters on the path to zero emissions.

For its part, Blink Charging presented the Series 8 charger, a new technology with great innovation within its prestigious range of charging infrastructure solutions.

Likewise, companies such as Geotab and Vemo led the workshops, spaces in which technological tools focused on telematics, management and fleet administration were deepened.

During the second day of the meeting, the "Net Zero & ESG Leadership Forum Mexico 2023" of Latam Green, a community that promotes sustainability and renewable energy in Latin America, was held.

Latam Green's agenda had topics related to the decarbonization of key sectors in Mexico, such as transport, mining and industry; ESG criteria, the opportunity for banks and investment funds to immerse themselves in sustainability, and the impact of new regulatory frameworks on the decarbonisation of companies' value chains.

In addition, two workshops were held: Intersection between climate, gender and governance, by the World Bank, and the importance of the decarbonization strategy: risks and opportunities, given by Strive by STX.

In this way, Invest in Latam, and its Latam Mobility and Latam Green initiatives, strengthen its commitment to mobility in Mexico and Latin America.
By 2024, the first destination in the Aztec country will be Monterrey, in February, to return to Mexico City in October.
