United States. The SEMA Show 2023 will host a panel discussion on the future of alternative fuels technology on Thursday, November 2. The discussion, titled "The Future of Automotive Fuel Technology," is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the North Hall (Room N258).
The panel will provide a comprehensive view of alternative fuels and topics will run the gamut from understanding alternative fuel definitions and manufacturing processes to their application in the automotive sector. Margaret Hoover, CNN contributor and host of the PBS show, will lead the panel.
"Alternative fuels will shape the future of global mobility. We are fortunate to have Margaret Hoover's vision to lead this critical dialogue with industry leaders," said Pamela Brown-Matthis, SEMA's director of education.
Luis Morales, SEMA's director of vehicle technology, added: "SEMA's approach to future propulsion is technology-neutral. We have members who are leaders in advanced technology systems such as hydrogen, biofuels, synthetics and electric vehicles."
"This discussion is essential to provide clarity on current industry movements and innovative advancements in alternative fuel technology," he said.
Panelists in the discussion include Michael Boe, Vice President and General Manager of Global Aftermarket for BorgWarner Emission, Thermal and Turbo Systems; Elaina Farnsworth, CEO of SkillFusion; Tuomo Isokivijärvi, CEO of StepOne Tech Ltd, an advocate for the transition of fossil fuel vehicles to biofuels; Indresh Mathur, PhD, Director of Customer Innovations and Solutions, Monument Renewables & Fuels: Zachary Santner, Product Engineering Manager, Sunoco LP: James Williamson, Executive Regional Business Manager, Emissions Systems, AVL.
In addition to the panel, the SEMA Show will feature the FutureTech Studio, an exhibit highlighting new automotive technology components, including those related to electric vehicles.
