Asopartes supports AutoAméricas Show 2023

Asopartes

Latin America. Between January and April of last year, more than 200 Colombian auto parts companies exported 136 million dollars to 55 destinations in the Americas.

The Association of the Automotive Sector and its Parts (Asopartes), which brings together more than 50,000 companies in Colombia, has joined as an ally of AutoAméricas Show 2023.

The president of the Association, Carlos Andrés Pineda, said that the mutual cooperation agreement reached "constitutes an opportunity for our affiliates not only to open markets, but also that the participants in this first international fair also know the Colombian market."

Among Asopartes affiliates, 28% are auto and motorcycle spare parts stores, while 24% are represented by importers of auto parts for cars and motorcycles. Meanwhile, 14% of members belong to automotive diagnostic centers for cars and motorcycles, and 12% are mechanical and natural gas vehicle workshops for cars and motorcycles.

The CEO of Latin Press, publisher of AFTERMARKET INTERNATIONAL, Max Jaramillo, also expressed his satisfaction with this alliance, which adds to the one achieved three months ago with the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA).

The auto parts sector is one of the biggest drivers of employment in Colombia and, as its president maintains, in recent years "it has been growing at a very important pace."

The country has established itself as a supplier of auto parts for the continent. Between January and April of last year, the more than 200 national companies that exercise this activity exported 136 million dollars to 55 destinations in the region, according to the government agency ProColombia. This represented a growth of 16.5% compared to the same period of the immediately previous year due to greater purchases from the United States, Mexico, Ecuador and Peru.

AutoAméricas Show offers attendees a new experience in the Latin American and Caribbean region to learn about innovative products in the automotive sector, new trends and international contacts with the most prominent manufacturers and professionals in the industry.

The meeting will take place on March 24 and 25 at the Miami Airport Convention Center. Learn more about the event here.
