The 21st edition of Aftermarket International is now online

Edición 21 Aftermarket International

International. This issue brings includes three of our most important technical features we published between 2017-2021.  Included are tips for troubleshooting chassis, as well as the rotor transfer layer and a diagnosis of current speed sensors.  We also have a preview of upcoming trade shows.

"Everything has a second story", is the title of the editorial column of this edition that reviews some of the situations that account for the panorama of the auto parts industry today, such as the impulse of nearshoring to optimize supply chains (especially in countries such as Mexico), the shortage of semiconductors, among others.

In the opening column, Brad Glazer, publisher, discusses the transition of owning the brand for 15 years, and selling it recently to Latin Press.

On the center pages are 19 recommendations from experiences with chassis repair: from the alignment and replacement of parts such as the control arm bolt to the review of the weight of the vehicles on the tires.

Engineer Taylor Wolff describes the most common speed sensors today and some modern problems: from the accumulation of brake dust to problems with wiring.

Likewise, the former editors of the magazine Undercar Digest and more recently Aftermarket International, Ron Henningsen and Jim Wilder, provide extensive information about what is and what is not a transfer layer in a brake rotor.

"This article can be used as an excellent training and diagnostic reference for technicians who wish to improve their skills to perform professional brake work," Henningsen and Wilder say at the end of the article.

Later, after the sections of new products and supplier news, the reader will be able to update himself on the preparations of the next most important trade fairs in the sector: Automechanika Frankfurt and Automechanika Buenos Aires. In addition, Autoaméricas Show appears on the horizon of March 2023.
