MD Elektronic expands its plant in Guanajuato

Mexico. MD Elektronic, an automotive supplier located in the Colinas de León Industrial Park in Guanajuato, announced that it will expand its operations.

The company, specialized in assembling coaxial cables for data and signal transfer, multi-core cables, electronic cables and modules, as well as sensor cables, began operations in 2017 with an investment of 20 million dollars and a production capacity of 10 million pieces per year.

"Seven years after its start-up, we are grateful from the Guanajuato Automotive Cluster for inviting us to its inauguration of the MD Elektronik Group expansion in León, a pride for the region to witness its growth and regional development as leading manufacturers of state-of-the-art cables. Much success to the whole team and may more achievements come," said Alfredo Arzola, director of the Guanajuato Automotive Cluster.

For his part, Ramón Alfaro, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development (SDES) of Guanajuato, thanked MD Elektronik for the invitation to his opening ceremony of expansion in León, Guanajuato. "Their success is an inspiring example for other companies and a boost for progress in our region," he said.

This company has a production and logistics capacity of 16,000 square meters. Currently, it has OEM clients such as Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes Benz, among others.
