Goodyear to Bring Tire Intelligence Software to SDView Platform

United States. The company joins the digital ecosystem of software-defined mobility with solutions that improve vehicle safety and maintenance.

Goodyear announced that its SightLine tire intelligence software suite will be available on SDVerse, the leading B2B marketplace for vehicle software. With this decision, the tire manufacturer takes an important step in its foray into the software-defined vehicle (SDV) sector.

SightLine includes solutions such as real-time diagnostics of tire condition, pavement condition detection, and predictive maintenance tools. These developments are designed to be integrated directly into the vehicles' central control systems, allowing manufacturers and suppliers to incorporate tire intelligence as a fundamental part of the car's operation.

Goodyear will be the first company in the industry to showcase such solutions at SDVerse, a platform backed by companies such as General Motors, Magna and Wipro. With its participation, the company seeks to position itself in the digital layer of mobility, aligning itself with the transformation of the industry towards connected and data-driven systems.

"Our tire intelligence technologies are at the core of our commitment to innovation," said Werner Happenhofer, vice president, Global Tire Solutions and Intelligence, Goodyear. "Integrating these technologies into vehicle control systems represents a significant step forward in terms of safety, performance and efficiency. Partnering with SDVerse gives us the opportunity to collaborate with other members and manufacturers as we respond to the growing demands of the industry."

SDVerse celebrated the arrival of Goodyear to its ecosystem as a sign of the advances that the automotive market is experiencing in the digital field.

"We are delighted to welcome Goodyear to SDVerse," said Prashant Gulati, CEO of SDVerse. " Goodyear's foray into software is not only bold, but also very timely. Their presence on our platform highlights the reach that software-defined vehicles can have: where even tires evolve to become intelligent systems that bring real-time data and decision-making capabilities across the vehicle ecosystem."

The availability of Goodyear's solutions at SDVerse marks a new stage in the development of digital tools within the automotive sector. To learn more about the solutions offered, you can visit Goodyear's profile on the platform.
