UPQ and Brose develop assembly machine for Ford

Estudiantes UPQ

Mexico. Students of Automotive Technology Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Querétaro (UPQ) carried out a fan assembly machine to incorporate this tool into one of the operational processes of the automotive multinational Ford.

The students began developing such a machine at the Center for Automotive Innovation and Development (CIDEA) in September 2022, in collaboration with the University's partner company, Germany's Brose.

"This tool is the result of our link with the productive sector in the Triple Helix Model. Students have the opportunity to implement the Cardinal Prestige by generating solutions to problems or challenges that companies have," said the academic coordinator of the UPQ, Enriqueta Ortiz.

The coordinator intervened during the delivery of this machine to Brose, which will be sent to the United States with the aim of being transferred to Ford.

In 2020 Brose made a donation of 4,000 euros to the UPQ, in order to support the technological equipment of the University in its different laboratories.
