The company detailed that the modernization of its data platforms achieved three key advances: a more intuitive interface for PARTSPHERE PIM, new search and filtering functions to more easily navigate between 1.2 million parts, a robust DAM system that allows efficient access to 1.4 million visual assets provided by suppliers, and better product categorization to enhance the online shopping experience. First launched in 2019, PARTSPHERE PIM was designed to facilitate access to detailed product data, a critical resource for multiple areas of the business, from sales to logistics. The update responds to an increasingly urgent need in the heavy-duty vehicle sector: to standardize and automate information management in a digital environment. Jeff Paul, Vice President of Marketing at VIPAR Heavy Duty, highlighted the industry's progress in this area: "Most of the challenge lies in creating an efficient method of exchanging and communicating product information between suppliers and distributors. Naturally, vendors want to maintain control over their intellectual data and how distributors share it with end users." - Advertising - Data management continues to be a challenge for distributors, who receive information from suppliers in multiple formats. Some have even generated their own visual content by taking thousands of photographs of pieces to feed their digital platforms. In response, VIPAR Heavy Duty has strengthened its content services team, which works hand in hand with vendors to build new data and improve existing data on the platform. > "This update and development is the result of feedback received directly from our distributors, who use PARTSPHERE PIM to sell and market parts in the heavy-duty aftermarket.
