The Japanese manufacturer Nissan announced the production of the next generation of the [Nissan](https://www.nissan.com.co/) Kicks, the entry-level truck to the brand's portfolio that is sold in several markets in the region, at the Resende plant, where the company's CEO, Makoto Uchida, was visiting. The production of the new Kicks will take place after a $540 million investment that the Japanese brand will make in the complex located in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to manufacturing the next generation of the SUV, the objective of the investment is to grow the plant's production capacity, by expanding the assembly line and adding a shift, in order to increase export levels throughout Latin America.
