IAISS accounted for $7 billion in business opportunities

Mexico. Between May 31 and June 1, the first issue of the International Automotive Industry Supply Summit (IAISS) was held, the largest B2B business meeting in Mexico, organized by the National Auto Parts Industry (INA).

According to it, the event, which had more than 12,000 attendees, represented about 7,000 million dollars in opportunities to close new business and strengthen the supply chain for new technologies.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Congress Center of the City of Querétaro with the presence of the governor of the State, Mauricio Kuri González, who began the work of the forum.

This was supported by the Secretary of Sustainable Development of Querétaro, Marco Antonio del Prete; the national president of the Industry Supply Chain in Mexico (Capim), René Mendoza Acosta; as well as the engineer Esteban Renato Villaseñor, president of the Automotive Cluster of the State of Querétaro.

During the opening speech, the Executive President of the INA, Francisco N. González Díaz, mentioned that this fair is the largest in Latin America and recognized the importance of the state as an engine of growth for the automotive and auto parts industry in Mexico.

In the same way, Francisco González highlighted the global scope of the event, with the participation of more than 2,000 supplier companies from 12 countries and the representation of 26 states of the Mexican Republic in 11,000 square meters of exhibition area.

The meeting was attended by around 100 buyers with more than 500 stands of companies belonging to the entire value chain of the sector in the industrial exhibition area, the technological exhibition and the special pavilion of the Automotive Cluster of Querétaro, as well as the international pavilions of Canada, Spain and Korea.

More than 4,000 B2B business meetings were also held, a program of 15 keynote lectures on topics such as procurement, circular economy and electromobility, as well as other networking activities.
